Do I need a coupon code for Hostinger or SiteGround?
Hostinger needs a code for its full discount: enter FAISAL in the cart. SiteGround needs no code: its discount was already in the cart when we opened it. The Hostinger coupon code page shows each Hostinger discount with the code applied.
What did the SiteGround checkout show?
We wrote down 4 things at the SiteGround checkout on 13 October 2026:
- The order page offered periods of 1 month, 12 months and 24 months.
- The order page stated that prices exclude VAT.
- The order page stated that the discount applies to the first invoice only and that renewals are charged at the regular price.
- The plans page listed a free domain name, free website transfer and free daily backups with every plan.
The current terms are on the SiteGround website.
Is the discount the same at renewal?
No. At both companies the discount applies to the first period only, and the plan renews at a higher regular price. The guide on hosting renewal prices explained shows how to read the renewal line before you pay.
Which one should I choose, Hostinger or SiteGround?
Hostinger, if the size of the first discount decides it: 83% against 77%. Compare the websites and storage in the table above with what your site needs before you choose on discount alone. The guide on how to choose web hosting lists the points to check.
Is the longer SiteGround period the better deal?
No, not on discount. On the StartUp plan the 12-month period had 77% off and the 24-month period had 58% off. The shorter period carried the bigger first discount, which is the opposite of Hostinger, where the longest period had the biggest one. A longer period still delays the first renewal, so compare both before you pay.
How many websites can I host on the smallest plan of each company?
1 website on SiteGround StartUp, and unlimited websites on Hostinger Unlimited. If you plan a second site, check this line first: moving to a bigger plan later changes what you pay at renewal.
Does SiteGround add tax to the price it shows?
The SiteGround order page stated that its prices exclude VAT when we read it on 13 October 2026. The tax, if any, is added for your country on the payment step. Read the order summary total, not the plan price, before you confirm.
