Hosting renewal prices explained: what you pay after the first period

A hosting renewal price is the price a hosting company charges when your first paid period ends. It is usually higher than the first price, because the opening discount applies to the first period only.
How much higher is the renewal price than the first price?
At Hostinger the Unlimited plan costs $3.19 a month for the first 48 months and $16.99 a month at renewal. That is 5.3 times the first price. The table shows every plan we tested on 12 October 2026.

Where do I see the renewal price before I buy?
The renewal price is in the cart, under the plan name. The Hostinger cart prints it as one line: "Renews after 48 months at $16.99/mo for 48 months". Read this line before you pay. The price on the plan page is the first price only.
How long is the renewal period?
The renewal period is set by the hosting company and is not always the same as your first period. In the Hostinger cart the renewal of the Unlimited plan was billed for 12 months after a 12-month first period, and for 48 months after a 48-month first period.
How do I pay less over 4 years?
Buy the longest first period you are sure to use. The first price then covers more months, and the renewal price starts later. The Hostinger pricing page has this sum for every plan.

Does a coupon code lower the renewal price?
No. A coupon code lowers the first payment only. The renewal line in the Hostinger cart stayed the same when we applied a code.
